FAQs

  • Kind of like a mini photo studio with room for you and all your friends! We provide backdrops, studio lighting, an interactive touch screen with live view, instant printing, a friendly photo attendant and sweet props.

  • The Photo Booth is based in Queenstown. However we service Wanaka, Glenorchy, Cromwell, Alexandra and possibly further (if we can drive there). Additional travel fees will apply for areas outside of Queenstown.

  • The Retro Booth generally takes 30mins to set up but we allow at least 45mins. Our prices include delivery and setup. Please let us know if you require a early set up, additional fees apply.

  • A solid, level surface with a minimum 2.5 metre square floor space with close access to a power point. For the props, we also require a small table.
    We can set up outside but we need to be fully protected from rain and wind and direct sunlight (under a marquee for example).
    It's always good to discuss the specific details of your venue with us, but as long as all these things are in place, we should be good!

  • Within 72 hours of your event we will upload your images to a online gallery. From the gallery you can download and share your photos with your family and friends.

  • We use top-of-the-line digital technology. We operate with a Canon digital SLR camera and studio lighting equipment. Your photos will be of professional quality.

  • You can take as many as you like (within your hire time), there's no limit!

  • Our minimum hire time is 2 hours. We find 3 hours is perfect for most weddings with 150 guests or less. If you're having more than 150 guests or just want to maximise the photo booth time, 4 hours is recommended.
    The booth is most commonly booked after dinner, once the dance-floor kicks off OR during 'cocktail hour' for entertainment before reception.
